VIVA Espana!

A few days after the end of the European Championships in Huelva, Spain (24th – 29th of April), it is time to recap the event! With Rasmus Gemke and Natalia Koch-Rohde, two of VICTOR sponsored players had to face the later European Champions in the quarter finals. Rasmus had a hard stand, playing against the current No. 1 in the Men’s Singles Viktor Axelsen, and eventually left the court after two sets. However, especially his rallye of 5 points in a row in the second set showed his persistent fighting spirit. Although being top seeded as well, Natalia was down on her luck and had to give in to Carolina Marin, the Spanish local hero who was thoroughly supported by the crowd.

Line Kjaersfeldt started better off into the competition, winning a bronze medal after her clear victory in the quarterfinals against Kirsty Gilmour, set on rank 2. It was Evgeniya Kosetskaya who ultimately stopped the long run of the Danish national player in this tournament.

Another great performance was shown by Marvin Seidel who reached the quarterfinals not only in the Men’s double but also in the Mixed with Linda Efler, proving again that our both players have improved impressively on an international basis.

All five of them rely on our top class rackets:
