European Championships 2017

Sabrina Jaquet wins the women's singles bronze medal.

The European Championships were held in Kolding in the Danish stronghold from the 25th to 30th of April.

Our German top player Marvin Seidel came back on court after his injury. But he was not able to come out over the 2nd round with his double partner Mark Lamsfuss.

Our VICTOR player Natalia Koch Rohde reached the quarter final in the women's singles. The Danish would have liked to use her home field advantage to beat the top seeded Carolina Marin. But the Spanish showed her class and and could win in two games.

Sabrina Jaquet, fully equipped by VICTOR, managed a further highlight in her badminton career. She could win the quarter final of the women's singles over the English No. 1 Fontaine Chapman with 21-13 20-22 21-17 and already saved a place for a medal. But in the following semi final she was not able for the next surprise and the Scottish Kirsty Gilmour won with 22-20 21-10 and got a place in the final.

For this reason Sabrina Jaquet won the bronze medal in the women's singles competition of the European Championships 2017.

We congratulate our players to these great results.
